It’s big, it’s expansive, it’s generous…it’s J-Mac’s new album

Have It All
Jesse McCartney is back with his new album "Have It All," in stores January 2011.

It’s been a while since we’ve heard from Jesse McCartney. Sure, he appeared with blonde hair on the beach in Malibu with a brunette hottie. Apparently the blonde hair was for his role in an independent film, “Beware the Gonzo.”

But we found out recently that all that time he’d been barricaded in the studio, hard at work on his fourth full-length album. He released the first single, a catchy-tuned number he appropriately titled “Shake.” It’s a booty-call song that talks about him being addicted to a girl’s sex, and vice versa. The more you hear it, the catchier it gets.

McCartney revealed the title of his album via Twitter, which will be Have It All. “Shake” was released back on Labor Day weekend, and it’s been blowing up radio stations and iTunes ever since. McCartney says the reason he chose “Shake” as the alpha single was because it was the best transitional record from his previous outing, Departure. That was the album that produced the #1 single in 2008, “Leavin’.” Remember the G5? “Like a G6” by Far East Movement is trying to outdo that.

He’s also come a long way from the days of Beautiful Soul, when he was just 16 years old and hadn’t been long removed from Dream Street. McCartney’s video for “Shake” was released not long ago and while it got a lot of praise, it caught some flack too. That flack was mainly from females, claiming they didn’t like all the girls shaking their asses at the screen and he looked like a player because there were three girls and the song only talks about one. But when a young man like Jesse McCartney reaches a certain age, he has a likeness for the “rude boy” mantra that Rihanna sings about. Herein lies the problem — many J-Mac fans are not used to that side of him.

Of course, there are plenty who are loving “Shake” and the new album coming up. Right now McCartney is touring radio stations across the country, promoting the “Shake” single and the new album. The holidays are upon us and there are several holiday concerts in New York, Los Angeles and similar cities. Z100’s Jingle Ball, Kissmas Party and others are all events McCartney will participate in.

Tickets are going and contests are on overload so get your piece of J-Mac while you can!
