The Michigan State Spartans took one step closer to a Big Ten Championship on Saturday, downing the Fighting Illini of Illinois 26-6. The running game was slightly slow but the passing game made up for it. Kirk Cousins threw one touchdown pass to B.J. Cunningham, taking the Spartans to 7-0 on the season.
“Little Giants” come up big in win over Irish
Michigan State beat the Notre Dame Fighting Irish in overtime on a last-second fake field goal. Holder Aaron Bates picked the ball up and threw it 29 yards to a wide open Charlie Gantt for the win, bringing Michigan State to 3-0 on the season.
