M.I.A. the center of Superbowl controversy this time around

During the Superbowl XLVI Halftime Show, singer M.I.A. joined Madonna on stage to help her perform her new song "Give Me All Your Lovin'." Turns out M.I.A. wanted to give us something else; her middle finger. We all know how the network stations feel about vulgarity and this is stirring up old wounds for them (wardrobe malfunction ring a bell?). NBC has apologized to viewers for the incident but M.I.A. still remains at the center of this controversy.

Lions taking care of business

The Detroit Lions defeated the Kansas City Chiefs 48-3 this past Sunday, marking the largest margin of victory in franchise history. The offense was only mediocre, but the defense came through in a big way. They only allowed the Chiefs three points in the first quarter. If the Lions can keep this up through the season they'll be a serious threat for the playoffs.

Fighting Illini are Sparty’s latest victims

The Michigan State Spartans took one step closer to a Big Ten Championship on Saturday, downing the Fighting Illini of Illinois 26-6. The running game was slightly slow but the passing game made up for it. Kirk Cousins threw one touchdown pass to B.J. Cunningham, taking the Spartans to 7-0 on the season.
