While there were several surprises at the 2011 MTV Movie Awards in Los Angeles Sunday night, one thing remained the same; Twilight dominated everything.

The Twilight Saga took five awards total, including Best Movie. Robert Pattinson grabbed Best Male Performance, Best Fight for his tussle with Xavier Samuel and Bryce Dallas Howard and Best Kiss with Kristen Stewart. Not to go unmentioned, this is the second year in a row Pattinson and Steward won Best Kiss. Best Female Performance also went to Kristen Stewart. The acceptance speeches for all of these were on the awkward side, thanks to Kristen and Rob.

None more so than the acceptance speech for Best Kiss. Usually the winners share a smooch on stage to demonstrate their skills, but Pattinson wanted something different this time. Instead of kissing his female co-star, he kissed his male co-star. On the lips. “Go get ’em, honey” Kristen said as Rob raced down the stairs of the stage, back over to their seats and planted a wet one right on Taylor Lautner.

It’s true that Twilight took over yet again, but Harry Potter did get an honorable mention. Tom Felton took home Best Villain for the second year in a row for his performance in “Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 1.” Malfoy certainly seems to be a fan favorite!

But Potter and Twilight weren’t the only movies that won out. Emma Stone won Best Comedic Performance for her role in “Easy A.” Justin Bieber took home Best Jaw Dropping Moment for his gyrations in the 3D documentary “Never Say Never.” Ellen Page won Best Scared-As-S**t Performance for her role in “Inception” and cute as can be Alexys Nicole Sanchez won the golden popcorn for her line “I wanna get chocolate wasted!” from “Grown-Ups.” Best Breakout Star and Biggest Badass Star went to Chloë Grace Mortez for “Kick Ass.”

Reese Witherspoon was also honored with the MTV Generation Award. This ended up being another awkward moment for Robert Pattinson, who bumbled his way through what was supposed to be a roast-session-style presentation. Chelsea Handler didn’t help things along, though her speech was more put together than Pattinson’s. That’s probably because Rob’s teleprompter guide told him to ‘ad-lib.’

The last note-worthy moment of the night was Justin Timberlake groping Mila Kunis. She responded, of course, by grabbing his crotch and sending his voice into a falsetto. Hopefully their summer flick “Friends With Benefits” will be just as funny. It’s moments like this and winners like Twilight that make the MTV Movie Awards an event to see every June.
