Lions taking care of business
The Detroit Lions defeated the Kansas City Chiefs 48-3 this past Sunday, marking the largest margin of victory in franchise history. The offense was only mediocre, but the defense came through in a big way. They only allowed the Chiefs three points in the first quarter. If the Lions can keep this up through the season they'll be a serious threat for the playoffs.

Casey Anthony found not guilty of 1st degree murder
25-year-old Casey Anthony was acquitted on charges of first degree murder, aggravated manslaughter and aggravated child abuse. She was guilty of lying to investigators and will face jail time for each of those counts. After credited time, Anthony will walk free July 17, 2011. Shock rippled through social media and talk shows today with the news of the not guilty verdict.
